Andrew Wiggins Scores 22 Points In Win
7 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins had a solid scoring night in a win over the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. He scored 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting, while also going 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Although Wiggins didn't contribute too much in other categories, adding just two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in his 37 minutes, he has proven to be a reliable scorer when Jimmy Butler (knee) is out of the lineup, averaging 21.8 points per game on 48 percent shooting in the six games Butler missed before Monday. Therefore, owners can expect some improvements from Wiggins' scoring down the stretch. The Timberwolves face the Portland Trail Blazers next, who Wiggins has shot well against this year, scoring 16.7 points per game on 54.8 percent from the field in three games against them this season.
