Andrew Painter Sharp In Second Rehab Outing
18 seconds agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitching prospect Andrew Painter was sharp in his second rehab outing with Low-A Clearwater. Painter tossed three no-hit frames. He did not allow a walk and struck out four. This was a strong improvement compared to the two runs he allowed over his first rehab outing (one 1/3 innings). During his first outing, he struck out three batters but also allowed a free pass. Painter is considered one of the top prospects in the sport. However, the former 13th overall pick has battled numerous injuries, which have limited him each season. Currently, the right-hander is healthy and is slowly increasing his workload. When Painter does not have any restrictions, he will likely report to Double-A Reading. Fantasy managers should expect the 22-year-old to have a role in he majors after the All-Star break.
