1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitching prospect Andrew Painter (elbow) recently underwent tests after experiencing more discomfort in his right elbow. Luckily, the results revealed his partially torn UCL is healing, although the team will give him some time to rest before considering the next step in his rehab process. The 20-year-old is still not out of the woods just yet, especially since he's still sore. But the update is at least better than the obvious alternative, Tommy John surgery, which would have put Painter on the shelf for a long time.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
