5 months agoAndrew Novak has been a volatile option for fantasy managers over the course of his three-year PGA Tour career. Look no further than the start to the 2024 calendar year for a sample size, as the 29-year-old St. Simons Island native followed three consecutive missed cuts to open the year with three consecutive top-10 finishes. His volatility paid off for fantasy managers in his previous two events, as he outperformed his mid-$6,000 DraftKings price tag with a T14 at the RBC Canadian Open and a T20 at last week's Rocket Mortgage Classic. Statistically, Novak could be in line for another solid showing at TPC Deere Run, as he ranks 41st in good-drive percentage, 30th in greens in regulation, and 25th in both opportunities gained and birdie-or-better percentage over the last 24 rounds. He also had the second-best putting performance of his career last week, marking the third straight start where he's been a positive gainer on the greens. While Novak is priced at $7,500 on DraftKings this week, the reward will likely outweigh the risk with Novak in this year's edition of the John Deere Classic.--Ryan Hickey
