Andrew Mangiapane Nets Two Goals In Flames Win
5 years agoThe spirited Alberta rivalry required the shootout on Wednesday night to determine the winner with the Calgary Flames edging the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 4-3. The Flames’ Andrew Mangiapane scored two goals, which were his first points since Dec. 27. He now has 10 goals on the season. Young Oilers’ forward Kailer Yamamoto scored a goal in his second straight game. He now has four goals and seven points in nine games this season since being recalled from the AHL. He also has 24 hits in those games. Leon Draisaitl added two helpers and has 16 points in his last eight games. McDavid added an assist and now both players have identical stat lines with 27 goals and 77 points. In a much-anticipated rematch, Zack Kassian and Matthew Tkachuk ended their feud with fisticuffs, which resulted in five-minute majors for both players.
