Andrew Luck Posts Mediocre Line in Playoff Victory
6 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck completed 19 of his 32 pass attempts for 222 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in a 21-7 win over the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card Round on Saturday. He also added eight rush attempts for 29 yards. Both of Luck's touchdowns came in the first half of the contest, with a six yard strike to tight end Eric Ebron and an 18 yard pass to wide receiver Dontrelle Inman. The game script unfolded in a manner that allowed the Colts to turn away from throwing the football and likely disappointed Luck's fantasy owners. After accumulating a 21-0 lead heading into the third quarter, running back Marlon Mack was featured and ended up gashing the Texans defense with 24 attempts for 148 yards and a touchdown. While the battle of the AFC South should have been more of a shootout, Luck draws an extremely favorable matchup against the No.1 seeded Kansas City Chiefs who gave up the second most passing yards per game in the regular season. With the Colts offensive pieces firing on all cylinders and appearing fully healthy, Luck should be a QB1 play in the AFC Divisional Round.
