Andrew Kittredge Notches Save On Tuesday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Andrew Kittredge fired a perfect inning to earn the save during Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He entered the game in the ninth inning to protect a 2-0 lead and retired all three batters he faced to pick up his seventh save of the season. The 31-year-old bounced back on Tuesday after surrendering home runs in his previous two appearances. Kittredge has been dominant out of the Rays' bullpen in 2021 and remains Tampa Bay's top closing option. Overall, Kittredge owns a 1.57 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 73:15 K: BB over 68 2/3 innings this season.
