Andrew Kittredge Notches Fifth Save
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Andrew Kittredge struck out two over 2/3 of an inning to earn the save during Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox. With runners on first and second, he entered the game in the ninth inning and struck out both batters he faced to secure his fifth save of the season. The 31-year-old has now notched three saves over his last three appearances. Kittredge has been the Rays most reliable reliever and continues to be used save situations despite the return of Pete Fairbanks (shoulder). Overall, the Rays right-hander owns a 1.31 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 69 strikeouts over 62 innings in 2021. Kittredge is the Rays reliever fantasy managers should be rostering in all league formats.
