Andrew Cashner Pitches Well, Earns Win Tuesday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner took advantage of a favorable matchup and turned in one of his best starts of the year in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the White Sox. Cashner pitched seven innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and a walk with five strikeouts. The 32-year-old has been decent overall this season with a 4-1 record, a 4.18 ERA, 20 strikeouts, and 13 walks in 32 1/3 innings. Cashner's fantasy value is limited by his high walk rate and low strikeout rate, but he could be streamed against favorable matchups in deeper leagues. His next start is slated to be a rematch against the White Sox on the road, so he could be streamed or used in DFS.
