Kansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi reached base safely four times in Tuesday's 8-7 loss to the Tigers. Benintendi collected a pair of singles and walks to stay hot at the dish, as he's now recorded a hit in 13 of his last 14 contests. The 26-year-old has displayed some nice power-speed ability this year, as he has three homers and five stolen bases thus far- and he has the underlying Statcast metrics to suggest he can continue to be a contributor in those areas moving forward. Benintendi looks like a nice third or fourth outfielder in fantasy leagues for 2021.--Tim Capurso

The Chicago White Sox have placed outfielder Andrew Benintendi (calf) on the 10-day injured list prior to their contest on Wednesday evening against the Kansas City Royals. Benintendi suffered this injury during their contest against the Astros on Sunday. In a corresponding move, the White Sox promoted infielder Nick Maton from Triple-A Charlotte. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Benintendi's status over the next week, in case he has a lengthy stint on the injured list. Through his first 24 games of the regular season, the 30-year-old posted a .224/.298/.400 slash line with five home runs. Under the hood, he has generated a modest .323 xwOBA. While he is sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Brooks Baldwin to see most of the opportunities in left field.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Chicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (calf) remains out of the starting nine on Tuesday. Benintendi was also held out of action on Monday due to calf tightness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old exited Sunday's contest early due to this injury. This evening, the White Sox will give Brooks Baldwin the starting nod in left field, and he will bat in the seven-hole. Before his injury, Benintendi held a modest .224/.298/.400 slash line with five home runs across his first 24 games of the regular season. Under the hood, the 30-year-old generated a weak .219 xBA but showed a strong eye at the plate, as he only struck out at a 17.9 percent rate. When healthy, he should continue to have an everyday role in left field. This evening, Baldwin is best to fade in DFS facing Kansas City right-hander Seth Lugo.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Chicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (calf) is not in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener on the road against the division-rival Kansas City Royals. Michael Taylor will patrol left field and will hit eighth against Royals left-hander Cole Ragans. Benintendi was removed in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Houston Astros with tightness in his left calf while running the bases, so the White Sox will hold him out on Monday against a left-hander. The 30-year-old veteran is being considered day-to-day for now, so there's a chance he returns as early as Game 2 of the series in KC on Tuesday. Outside of some modest pop from the left side, Benintendi has little fantasy upside for those in deeper leagues. He's gone 19-for-85 (.224) with five homers, 12 RBI and 13 runs so far this year. Taylor represents a low-upside DFS sleeper, and he's never faced Ragans in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Chicago White Sox announced on Thursday that they reinstated outfielder Andrew Benintendi (groin) from the 10-day injured list and optioned outfielder Greg Jones to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Benintendi rejoins the White Sox's major-league roster while skipping a minor-league rehab assignment, but he was not included in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Athletics. The 30-year-old veteran should be back in the starting lineup in left field for Friday's series opener in Boston against the Red Sox. Benintendi got off to a strong start before his left-groin strain, going 9-for-31 (.290) with two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Despite the good start, fantasy managers shouldn't be tricked into thinking the former first-rounder is a must-start outfielder in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
