Andrew Benintendi Leading Off Again Wednesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi is batting leadoff for the second consecutive game on Wednesday, according to MLB.com. He'll face Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins. With Tim Anderson (knee) on the shelf for the time being, the Sox will likely keep Benintendi at the top of the lineup until the shortstop returns. The 28-year-old is still trying to get into a groove in his first season as a member of Chicago, as he's batting .261 with a .610 OPS. Benintendi's swiped a couple of bags and scored nine runs but has yet to go yard and has just a pair of RBI. He's been a solid fantasy option the last couple of seasons, and a year ago slashed .304/.373/.399 with five homers, 54 runs, 51 RBI, and eight steals across 126 games. Fantasy managers will want to take advantage of Benintendi leading off while they can.
