Andrew Benintendi Drops To Sixth In Tuesday's Starting Lineup
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi has been demoted to sixth in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Cleveland Guardians. It's just the fifth start out of the six-hole for the former top Red Sox prospect as he's largely hit second of late. However, the drop in the order can be attributed to left-hander Logan Allen getting the nod for the Guardians. Benintendi, who will carry a nine-game hitting streak into Tuesday's contest, has actually handled same-handed pitching well this season as per his .286 average and .748 OPS against them, but he's still without a home run across 189 trips to the plate on the season. Jake Burger is hitting out of Benintendi's usual two-hole Tuesday night in Cleveland.
