Andrew Abbott Looks Great Again On Thursday
1 year agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott slung eight shutout frames to carry his team to a 5-1 win against the San Francisco Giants. Abbott looked excellent in this one, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out six. He earned his fifth victory of the season in this one, and has been stellar in eight of his nine starts to begin his MLB career. Although some of the underlying data suggest he's getting a bit lucky, there are more good signs than bad ones. It's hard to say exactly how good Abbott could be, but he clearly has upside and should be rostered in all formats by now.
