Andres Munoz Secures Third Save On Thursday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Andres Munoz struck out three over a perfect 1 1/3 innings to earn the save during Thursday's 3-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians. With two outs and runners on first and second base, he struck out Jose Ramirez to escape the jam in the eighth inning. The 23-year-old has been on fire recently and hasn't allowed a run over his last 10 appearances. He is three for five in save opportunities with a 2.47 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 82 strikeouts across 51 innings in 2022. Munoz will continue to be used in high-leverage situations and should be rostered in all league formats that reward the category holds.
