Andrelton Simmons Suffers Strained Left Shoulder
7 years agoThe MRI on Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons showed a strained left shoulder. He is considered day-to-day. Simmons left Thursday's spring training game after diving for a baseball. He was examined by the medical team on the field and had an MRI scheduled, although the expectation was that it was not that serious. That remains the case, as Simmons will likely take a few days off to rest. As a veteran and a team leader, don't expect the Angels to take any chances with Simmons. However, there is no reason to expect this injury to linger into the regular season. As such, he should be taken as a low-end starting shortstop in all fantasy formats.
