Andrelton Simmons Hits First Homer Of Season
4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Andrelton Simmons enjoyed his best game since returning from the COVID-19 injured list. Simmons went hitless in his first three games back but has since recorded a hit in each of the last three games, including two on Sunday as well as his first long ball of the season. The veteran shortstop has been a pleasant surprise with the bat this season, as he's sporting a .288 batting average and .310 expected batting average, along with a career-high 14 percent walk rate. Simmons rarely strikes out and deserves to get more love in points formats because of that.
