Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy earned his 38th win of the season in a high-scoring affair versus the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon. Vasilevskiy allowed six goals in the match, but made 37 saves and stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout. The Flyers have been surging recently with 11 wins in their last 13 matches, and showed they could match Tampa’s offensive firepower Saturday afternoon. The Russian netminder has been impressive in 2017-18, showing Tampa Bay that they made the right decision in trading away Ben Bishop last season. Look for him and the Lightning’s defense to be tested again Tuesday night as the Bolts try to snap the Florida Panthers’ five-game win streak.--Alex McKenzie
