23 seconds agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Andre Pallante allowed just two hits in seven shutout innings on Friday night against the Phillies. He had four strikeouts and two walks to claim his second win of the season. He was locked in a pitcher's duel with Aaron Nola until the Cards broke through for two runs in the fifth inning. He retired the last eight men he faced before handing the ball to the bullpen to close out the Cardinals' big home win over the visiting Phils. Pallante is now 2-0 in his three starts, allowing four runs on 10 hits across 16 1/3 innings with 13 strikeouts. He'll take on the Astros in another tough matchup in his next scheduled start.
