5 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond was sent to a bench role on Monday after missing his club's pre-game shootaround, but he still managed a big line in the loss to the 76ers. Drummond came off the bench for the first time since his rookie season to score 27 points with nine rebounds and three assists while chipping in a single steal in 32 minutes of action. We can assume this will be a one-off event and that he will return to his usual starting role on Thursday when he should have some easy pickings against a banged-up frontcourt for the Wizards.--Gianni Costantiello
