Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen surrendered five goals for the second game in a row in a 5-3 loss against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night. Toronto has now lost four games in a row, with Andersen being in net for three of those games. Andersen and the Leafs gave up two goals in the opening four minutes of the game. Toronto did manage to battle back and tie the match halfway through the second period before they were then outscored by the Sabres 3-1 in the remainder of the game. Andersen made 19 saves on 24 shots in the loss, bringing his season total to a league high of 1,895 shots faced. Andersen and the Leafs will need to be better in March and April if they look to hold onto their current position of third in the Atlantic Division. Toronto has a bit of a break before they return to action on Saturday at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins.--Alex McKenzie
