Anders Lee Scores Lone Goal In Monday's Win
5 years agoNew York Islanders forward Anders Lee buried the game's only goal as his team edged the visiting Colorado Avalanche 1-0 on Monday. It took 46:54 for the Islanders' captain to solve Avs goaltender Pavel Francouz - beating him on an odd-man rush off a well placed wrist shot. Lee also contributed a plus-one rating, five shots on goal and two blocks in 19:42 of ice time in the low-event affair. After inking a seven-year, $49 million contract with the Isles this summer, the 29-year-old hasn't produced as much offensive value as expected in 2019-2020. However, given his stout cross-category production, Lee remains a valuable asset in most fantasy formats - showcased by his 24 points (12 goals, 12 assists), plus-five rating, 99 shots and 78 hits through 41 games. Just 59% owned in Yahoo! leagues, Lee should be considered a priority pickup for both the short and long-term.
