Ducks Select Leo Carlson With The No. 2 Pick In The NHL Draft
1 year agoThe Anaheim Ducks have selected center Leo Carlson with the second overall pick of the 2023 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old stands at 6-foot-3 and has two seasons of professional experience under his belt. Carlson notched 10 goals and 25 points across 44 games with Orebro of the Swedish Hockey League last season after a nine-point season across 35 games in the 2021-22 campaign. The left-shot pivot joins a Ducks club that could use some help down the middle after the club finished dead last with 58 points just last season. Expect Carlson to get a solid look at cracking the Ducks' opening night roster but is far from a lock to break camp with the big club.
