Amir Coffey Drops Career-High 35 Points, First Double-Double
3 years agoLA Clippers small/power forward Amir Coffey enjoyed the best all-around performance of his professional career during Sunday's win over Oklahoma City. Coffey shifted into the starting five and took advantage of his 43 minutes played to compile a career-high 35 points to go along with the first double-double of his career. Coffey shot 13-for-22 overall, including going 7-for-10 from deep, while snatching 13 boards and dishing out five assists. The 24-year-old's playing time was sporadic throughout the regular season, but with Paul George and Norman Powell back in the mix, Coffey is unlikely to hold DFS relevance if the team advances beyond the Play-In Tournament. He finishes the year having averaged nine PPG across 69 contests (30 starts).

Amir Coffey Ruled Out For Thursday
1 month agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey (knee) will be inactive as the team wraps up a back-to-back on Thursday against the Utah Jazz. Coffey played 18 minutes in Wednesday's victory over the Memphis Grizzlies but landed on the injury report with left knee soreness. The team has downgraded him from questionable to out ahead of tip-off. Kawhi Leonard (knee) also won't play on Thursday, which opens up quite a bit of playing time for the rest of the Clippers forwards. Ben Simmons, who is set to make his team debut, may also absorb some of the available minutes.

Amir Coffey Questionable Thursday
1 month agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey (knee) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's tilt against the Utah Jazz. A sore left knee might keep Coffey sidelined after he logged 18 minutes in Wednesday's win against the Memphis Grizzlies. So far, Coffey has missed only one game this season. He has been a solid contributor for the Clippers but does not hold much fantasy value. Across 25.9 minutes of action, Coffey has averaged 10.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. If he is out on Thursday, Derrick Jones Jr., Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Nicolas Batum may receive additional playing opportunities.

Amir Coffey Starting Against Portland
12 months agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey will start in Wednesday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. Terance Mann (shoulder) was injured during practice on Tuesday, while Norman Powell (leg) will miss his second straight contest. But now that Coffey will roll with the first five, DFS managers must keep him on the radar, especially since he's averaged 11.3 points in 10 starts throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

Amir Coffey Arrested On Gun Possession
2 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey was arrested on misdemeanor possession of a firearm in a car where he was a passenger over the weekend. The car was pulled over for speeding, but the police smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle and searched it. They found a gun that Coffey admitted was his and he was booked into jail. He was later released and will have a court date sometime in August. The Clippers have acknowledged the situation and said to be looking into it. Coffey signed a three-year deal with the Clippers last season. He has been playing a reserve role off the bench, which is unlikely to change.
