Amir Coffey Arrested On Gun Possession
1 year agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey was arrested on misdemeanor possession of a firearm in a car where he was a passenger over the weekend. The car was pulled over for speeding, but the police smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle and searched it. They found a gun that Coffey admitted was his and he was booked into jail. He was later released and will have a court date sometime in August. The Clippers have acknowledged the situation and said to be looking into it. Coffey signed a three-year deal with the Clippers last season. He has been playing a reserve role off the bench, which is unlikely to change.
