Ameer Abdullah Rarely Used In Week 7
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah was active on Sunday, due to the absence of veteran back Theo Riddick. In the 32-21 victory, Abdullah received one carry for one yard, but he also pulled in his only target for 12 yards. Many anticipated that when Riddick was announced out for the game that Abdullah would take on a bigger role in the passing game. However, it was Kerryon Johnson that ended up seeing the most targets out of the backfield. It is to be seen what Riddick's long-term status is, but even if he remains out next week against Seattle, Abdullah holds no value for fantasy purposes.
