3 years agoIn one of the biggest upsets in women's mixed martial arts history on Saturday, Amanda Nunes dropped the bantamweight title to the big underdog Julianna Pena via second-round, rear-naked choke. In 8:26 of total action, Nunes landed 46 significant strikes, well under the 79 landed by Pena. The end came 3:26 into the second round with Pena shocking the world with her finish. It's all but guaranteed that we see these two in a rematch down the road. It is probably safe to say that Nunes will be fighting with a renewed sense of urgency. Perhaps complacency had set in for the best women's MMA fighter.--Matt Bricker
