Alvin Kamara Hits Century Mark Against Rams
2 mins agoNew Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara handled 23 carries in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams, gaining 112 yards on the ground. He also caught four of his six targets for seven receiving yards, which was a new season-low. It was his third 100-yard rushing day of 2024 but the talented back extended his scoreless streak to a sixth game, his last trip to the end zone being in Week 6 against the Buccaneers. Kamara nearly got off the schneid with a 12-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter but the score was nullified by a penalty. Already one of the most frequently used players in the league, the Saints are likely to lean on Kamara even more going forward after Taysom Hill (knee) picked up an injury in the fourth quarter that may sideline him for multiple weeks. Kamara's next matchup suits him well. In Week 14 he will go against the New York Giants, who just gave up 112 yards and a touchdown to Rico Dowdle on Thanksgiving and have allowed the eighth-most receiving yards to opposing running backs this season.
