Alvin Kamara Handles Career-High 26 Carries
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara carried the ball 26 times for a season-high 120 rushing yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Giants. Kamara surprisingly saw zero targets for the first time in his career but had a lucrative day rushing the ball, as he found room to run throughout the game against the Giants defense, averaging a solid 4.6 yards per carry. The talented back gave way to Taysom Hill, who scored two rushing touchdowns in the red zone, which capped his upside Sunday afternoon. While it's disappointing to see a stud pass-catcher like Kamara see zero looks from Winston, he's still dominating the backfield touches, a trend that should continue after backup Tony Jones Jr. (ankle) left with an apparent ankle injury. Up next is a matchup with a Washington Football team defense that struggled to contain dual-threat runner Cordarrelle Patterson.
