Alvin Kamara Could See Reduced Touches Moving Forward
6 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara could see a slight reduction in touches moving forward. Kamara was on the field for 52 snaps during Week 1 and head coach Sean Payton says it was largely due to the fact that the Saints were playing from behind. Payton also mentioned that despite Kamara looking excellent in Week 1, he does plan on getting running backs Mike Gillislee and Jonathan Williams more touches in future weeks. Kamara still remains an RB1 option in all formats. Although he may not be on the field for 52 snaps, his typical workload is about 40-45 snaps, which is more than enough for Kamara to continue being a top fantasy point producer. Even with a slight increase in touches, Gillislee and Williams remain low-end fantasy option with little upside.
