2 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson II faces the Arizona Cardinals Week 3 for the first time since 2018. The game is expected to be a shootout with high passing volume. However, Robinson might face a tough cornerback matchup in Brian Murphy. Murphy and the Cardinals held Raiders top outside WR Davante Adams to just two catches for 12 yards, while Murphy shadowed him mostly on the outside. Because of the possibility that Murphy shadows the outside WR1 again, ESPN's Mike Clay suggests, "Consider downgrading Robinson slightly." The Rams present a much different scenario than the Raiders, however, as their top WR is their slot WR, and Murphy did cover the slot in previous seasons. It's tough to predict what coverage strategy a defense will play from week to week. Overall, the prospect for mass passing volume is too good to bench A-Rob this week.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
