Allen Lazard Has Flex Appeal In Week 12
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. The 26-year-old was targeted a season-high 11 times last week but was visibly not on the same page as quarterback Aaron Rodgers, catching just five of them for 57 yards. Coming into last week, Lazard was the clear top target for Rodgers, but rookie Christian Watson has started to emerge as a favorite of the reigning MVP, catching five touchdown passes over the past two weeks. Watson's presence seems to be cutting down the fantasy upside of Lazard, but he is still a viable FLEX option due to the high amount of targets he receives. Philadelphia allows the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position and is tied for the third-fewest touchdowns given up. However, Lazard had caught either six passes or a touchdown in every game before Week 10. His involvement in the offense makes him a FLEX option in Week 12, even against a stiff Eagles defense.
