4 weeks agoNew York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (chest) appears unlikely to suit up this Sunday when his team takes on their rival New England Patriots. The Iowa State alum picked up a chest injury at some point between Wednesday and the team's Week 7 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lazard participated in his lowest snap total of the season last Sunday night (33 [58%]). However, whether that was primarily due to his injury or the Jets' recent acquisition of star wide receiver Davante Adams is unclear. Still, his Week 8 status is of little surprise, considering he could not log even a limited session leading up to the outing against the Pats. Expect Adams to be more involved Sunday after another week with the team. Additionally, fellow wide receivers Mike Williams and Xavier Gipson should see an uptick in snaps to compensate.--Alex Ciulla
