Alfred Morris Impresses in 49ers Debut
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris carried the ball a team-high 17 times for 84 yards against the Colts on Saturday. Morris’ performance was a breath of a fresh air for the 49ers coaching staff after the team failed to establish any rhythm running the ball through the first two weeks of the preseason.
With Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida nursing injuries, Morris certainly proved that he still has some gas left in the tank should the 49ers call his number in the regular season. McKinnon and Breida are still the backs to own as both are expected to be ready for Week 1, but Morris should be on everyone’s waiver wire speed dial.
