Alfred Morris Again In Mix For Touches
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris’ role has dwindled meaningfully in recent weeks, recording 11 or fewer snaps in three of four contests. With Raheem Mostert (arm) on IR, Morris will again be the Niners primary change-of-pace back in Week 10 against the New York Giants. Despite the team’s commitment to a backfield timeshare, Morris has done little with his chances. His 3.5 YPC ranks amongst the league’s worst and he does not factor into the passing game (six catches). With Matt Breida healthy, Morris may see the field sparingly. His only chance for fantasy relevance is if he capitalizes on any potential goal-line carries, rendering him a desperation flex play.
