Alfred Morris a Risky PPR Option
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris struggled in Week 1, rushing for just 38 yards on 12 carries, while also losing one fumble. This week he faces a Detroit Lions defense that allowed 32.8 fantasy points to the running back position against the New York Jets on Monday night. Even though the matchup is favorable, Morris offers little upside in PPR formats, averaging just 0.61 receptions per game throughout his career. To make matters worse, the 29-year-old appears to be sharing the backfield with second-year running back Matt Breida. Morris should be viewed as a desperation flex play in PPR formats, and a RB3 or flex option in standard-scoring leagues for Week 2.
