2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds announced Tuesday that relief pitcher Alexis Diaz will play for Team Puerto Rico in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The 26-year-old had a successful season and spent time in the closer's role, posting a 1.84 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 32.5% strikeout rate with 10 saves and 13 holds in 63 2/3 innings pitched. However, he did miss time with right biceps tendinitis. It remains to be seen how the Reds approach their bullpen roles in 2023, but fantasy managers should keep Diaz on their radars as the regular season approaches.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
