Alexis Diaz Shuts Down Cubs For 12th Save
1 year agoCincinnati Reds right-handed pitcher Alexis Diaz converted his 12th save of the season Sunday, closing out the Chicago Cubs in an 8-5 victory. Diaz struck out the side while only allowing an infield single in his inning of work. The Reds closer has been almost unhittable this season, with a 1.74 ERA and 0.87 WHIP to go with 40 strikeouts in 20 ⅔ IP. He is now a perfect 12/12 in saves as well. Diaz has risen into the upper echelon of fantasy closers and should be regarded as one of the elites.
