Alexis Diaz Picks Up Save No. 25
1 year agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Alexis Diaz allowed one run on one hit while striking out a batter to earn the save during Thursday's 5-4 win over the Washington Nationals. He entered the game in the 10th inning to protect a two-run lead. The 26-year-old yielded an RBI single to Lance Thomas but got Keibert Ruiz to line out to center field to notch his 25th save. He is tied with Camilo Doval and Jordan Romano for the league lead in saves. The right-hander owns a 2.08 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts across 39 innings in 2023. Diaz is one of the best closers in 2023, and fantasy managers should continue to roll with him in all league formats.
