2 years agoCincinnati Reds right-handed pitcher Alexis Diaz nabbed his second save of the season on Thursday, recording the final out in a 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. It looked like Diaz wasn't going to get into this one, as the Reds opted not to go with their closer in what was a four-run game going into the ninth. Fortunately for Diaz' fantasy owners, he ended up coming in for the final out after Derek Law allowed two hitters to reach base. Diaz then struck out Trea Turner for the one-out save. He should continue getting the majority of save opportunities for the Reds, although he might see some work earlier in games in high-leverage spots.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
