Alexandre Pantoja Drops Decision To Fellow Top-10 Flyweight
4 years agoAfter earning a 6-2 record in the UFC's flyweight division, Alexandre Pantoja earned a top-five spot in the division, entering the contest ranked No. 4. His opponent, Askar Askarov, entered ranked in the top 10 as well. Statistically, the numbers weren't too far off, with Pantoja landing 40 strikes compared to Askarov's 44. He also only landed one takedown compared to Askarov's two. The flyweight is a quickly evolving division with only a small handful of top-level fights. Luckily for Pantoja, he will stay among the top contenders for a bit longer. As long as he's facing those top-five or so talents, it's going to be a hit-or-miss situation on his DraftKings scoring ability.
