Montreal Canadiens defenseman Alexandre Carrier (undisclosed) was injured during Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals. He did not see any action in the final 13 minutes of play after absorbing a massive hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Carrier also made a brief exit in the opening period. He logged 13:39 of ice time in the game, registering one shot on goal and one hit. Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis provided no update on Carrier after the game. His absence for the remainder of the series would be a significant blow for Montreal, as Carrier is known for his shot-blocking abilities and has also contributed offensively. In four games, he has recorded two points (one goal, one assist), 11 blocks, and seven hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
