Alexander Volkanovski's four-year reign as featherweight champion came to an end on Saturday, as Georgian-Spaniard Ilia Topuria defeated Volkanovski to take the belt. Volkanovski has been the featherweight champion since December 2019 and successfully defended his title five times. Returning to the octagon following an October high-kick and strikes knockout loss to Islam Makhachev in a short-notice lightweight title re-run, Volkanovski was dropped and knocked out cold in the second round by Topuria. In 8:32 of action, Volkanovski landed 45 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
