Alexander Mattison Scores Touchdown Yet Is Inefficient In Loss
1 month agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison rushed 14 times for 33 yards and caught five passes for 32 yards in the Raiders' 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. The Raiders running back had an inefficient outing yet again. The touchdown and receiving work gave him a solid fantasy outing in PPR scoring formats. The absence of starting running back Zamir White (groin) certainly helped the former Viking's production. Las Vegas struggles to find work on the ground, so the sixth-year-pro's ability to catch the ball and turn upfield is a significant asset, considering the team he plays for. Mattison probably isn't worth starting if White returns, but he has a nice floor that makes him a decent RB3/FLEX play. If White plays, both running backs are borderline unstartable. The Raiders will face a significantly softer defense that allows the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs when they hit the road to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7, but neither back is worth starting when both are healthy.
