Alexandar Georgiev Starts For Rangers Wednesday Night
6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev will be guarding the cage in this season's second Battle of New York on Wednesday against the Islanders. Henrik Lundqvist started the first meeting last week and was lit up in a 7-5 Isles win, so the Rangers now go with the young Russian. Georgiev has a 3-2-0 record in five appearances this season with a 3.60 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage. The Rangers have lost just twice in the last 10 outings, so Georgiev looks to be in a good spot to improve his record.
