Alexandar Georgiev Notches Second Shutout Of The Year
4 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev stopped all 26 shots in Wednesday's 9-0 win over Philadelphia, recording his second shutout of the season. The 24-year-old shot-stopper was back to his best after having a couple of miserable outings in which he allowed seven goals on 20 shots. Georgiev is now 5-4-2 for the season with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage. He will look to slow down Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals next when the Rangers finish off the week with a pair of games in Washington.
