Alexandar Georgiev Makes 16th Start On Friday
4 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev will record his 16th start of the campaign in Friday's home game against Philadelphia. The 24-year-old had an issue with his knee in his last appearance on Sunday against New Jersey, exiting the contest near the end of the first period, but he came back in the second to finish the game. Georgiev picked up his seventh win of the season against the Devils. He has a 7-5-2 record with a 2.79 goals-against average, a .902 save percentage and two shutouts. The Rangers are hoping to get revenge here for Thursday's 3-2 loss.
