Alexandar Georgiev Bags First Win Of The Year
6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev stopped 36 of 38 shots on Tuesday against Florida to record his first win of the year. The Rangers found themselves behind after the opening period, with Georgiev letting one past him on a power play, but the team put on a special team clinic in the second frame and ended up winning 5-2. The young goalie was awful in his first start of the season, allowing seven goals in an 8-5 loss to Carolina on Oct. 7, so Tuesday's result should be a confidence booster for him. His record for the season stands at 1-1-0 with a 4.56 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage.
