Alex Stalock Provides One Assist In Winning Effort
6 years agoMinnesota Wild goaltender Alex Stalock was productive for the team both offensively and defensively in Friday's 4-2 win over Winnipeg, stopping 26 of 28 shots to register a .929 save percentage and picking up an assist on the team's first goal early in the third period. Goalie assists are very rare, but Stalock actually now has two of them this season. He improved his record for the season to an outstanding 5-2-0. Stalock wasn't even supposed to start on Friday, but Devan Dubnyk was ruled out with an illness, so he had the opportunity to make his seventh appearance of the season, and the 31-year-old career backup certainly impressed at both ends of the ice.
