Alex Reyes Will Throw Live Batting Practice Wednesday
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Alex Reyes (elbow) is scheduled to throw live batting practice on Wednesday. It will be his first time facing live hitters since undergoing Tommy John Surgery last February. Reyes will be brought along slowly, with the team expecting him back on the big league mound sometime in early May. The Cardinals have not yet made it clear whether they plan to use Reyes in the rotation or in the bullpen, but it seems likely he'll start out in the bullpen in order to ramp up his workload. Either way, Reyes has elite upside and should be drafted in most formats even with the expected late start to his season.
