Alex Reyes Takes His Sixth Loss On Wednesday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Alex Reyes had another blowup outing on Wednesday, blowing the save and taking his sixth loss of the season. Reyes pitched two innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits. He did not issue a walk and struck out three, allowing a home run. It wasn't a bad outing for his ERA, as only the one run was earned, but he still was unable to work around the errors behind him on defense. Reyes saw his record drop to 5-6 and moved his ERA to 2.47. He's only blown two saves this season somehow, despite his control issues, so he's safe as the ninth inning man for the Cardinals.
